Meet the team

Holland Gas believe excellent customer service and only employing the best plumbing and heating professionals is the key to the company’s success so far. Our engineers use dust sheets and overshoes at all times to protect your property. We take photos of every job to maintain the high-quality workmanship that our customers expect from us. All our engineers are Gas Safety Registered. We are a small company which gives us the advantage of being flexible and competitive with our pricing due to our reduced overheads. We also offer a personal experience to every customer. Craig Holland the owner and Managing Director of Holland Gas operates as an ‘on the road’ engineer rather than being the boss you can never reach!

Predominantly, we serve Wimborne, Poole and the surrounding BH post code areas. Please feel free to call us and enquire about our services. We provide free, no obligation quotes for every job. Use our helpful book an appointment area or quote section or simply get in touch with us from the contact us page and we will be more than happy to assist you.

Craig Holland
Craig is an experienced, enthusiastic professional with a wealth of knowledge within the heating industry. When Craig left Corfe Hills school in 2003, although he had always wanted to become a plumber, he started his working life within the family business, constructing timber buildings. Craig thoroughly enjoyed working with timber and learned many useful skills. His Dad is a hard working “lead by example” man and instilled many of Craig’s quality work ethics. Craig decided at the age of 17 to try his hand at a different venture working for local agencies doing a variety of jobs from one week to the next. Craig enjoyed this as he experienced different industries. Finally, one week before Craig’s 18th birthday, he was given the opportunity to help out at a local firm doing plumbing. His boss was so impressed by how hard the young 17-year-old worked that he gave him a permanent position as an apprentice plumber. Craig set off on his way learning his trade and developing new skills. Once he had completed his apprenticeship in 2007, he was given a van and sent out as a fully qualified plumber. In 2008 Craig set up in business with his uncle, shortly after he’d completed his gas qualifications. They built up a local maintenance company which was very successful. Craig worked as a Gas heating engineer until the company grew to a size where Craig was required in an office based managerial role. Acquiring more skills from the desk side of the industry. In April 2016 Craig felt he had achieved everything he set out to and decided to go back on the tools and start a new venture…. Holland Gas
Liam left Carter Community School in 2011 and enrolled in Poole College to learn plumbing and heating while working part time at a local chip shop. Liam’s previous employer speaks very highly of him and his work ethic. Whilst Liam had enrolled in college he still had to find a work placement. The recession had hit the plumbing industry hard meaning there was not much call for apprentices. Unfortunately, Liam missed out on a placement until 2013 when he was one of 8 students to be interviewed by Craig. Craig, being a good judge of character, handpicked him for a week’s trial. Craig knew from the first day he had made the correct decision. When Liam was offered the job as an apprentice plumber, the first thing he did, with a big grin on his face, was text his mum. Liam left college in 2015 and, although very young, he was a trusted and valued member of the team. Liam proved his skills and was determined to provide the best quality work and make himself known as a professional. Liam loves the industry and is usually found singing very badly in his van. In April 2016 Liam joined Craig at Holland Gas
Landon Arthur
Landon left school in 2012 and enrolled to be a plumber at Poole college. In September 2012 Craig interviewed 8 apprentices at the college. Landon was only 16 and after a 50 minute interview found out he would be given an apprenticeship. Landon, under Craig’s management at their previous employment, completed his apprenticeship and qualified as a plumbing, heating and gas engineer in 2014. Another credit to Craig’s judge of character, he had found a “one in a million” as Craig says. Landon has an eye for detail and specialises in the installation side of the industry. His installations are neat and methodically planned with no corners cut. Landon is both polite and professional and well received by our customers, with plenty of fantastic reviews on behalf of holland GAS. Landon, although still young, is keen to extend his qualifications and progress further within the industry. Landon joined Craig at holland GAS in April 2017
Lorraine Hill
Lorraine has a cheerful personality and has an abundance of administration skills. Lorraine previously worked as a Property Manager for a well established Letting Agent and therefore has a vast amount of experience of communicating with Landlords and Tenants and as such understands the importance of offering a prompt, efficient reliable and courteous service. Lorraine is looking forward to watching the business grow and supporting the engineers in providing a first class service to holland GAS’s customers old and new.
Nyal Lucas
Nyal is a fantastic character, generous to a fault and a joy to be around. His ability in the field has no exceptions and like Craig, specialises in the technical side of the industry as a heating engineer, repairing boiler and heating systems. Nyal has both domestic and commercial qualifications. Nyal moved to Bournemouth in 2008 when he was just 16. Renting a room and making his own path in life so young, is something to be admired. Nyal was Craig’s first apprentice in 2009. Both boys very baby faced but making their own reputation within the industry. Nyal set out on his own in 2011 and developed a strong brand for himself. He decided to re-join Craig at holland GAS in June 2018. Craig and the team were thrilled to have Nyal join the company as his reputation proceeds him.
Steve Furlong
Steve is our “Jack of all trades” He left school in 2012 and started out as an apprentice gym instructor. Not really feeling like he had realised his ambition he decided to get out into the great outdoors working as a ground worker, specialising in artificial grass and patios. After a couple of years Steve decided to trade the ground for a little higher. Steve became a roofer. Must be a glutton for punishment in our lovely English weather. Following an unfortunate accident while arm wrestling his friend, he broke his arm. During his time healing he was bored and asked his friend Landon if he could give him a hand (no pun intended) Steve went to work with Landon to keep his mind active and decided he really loved the industry. Steve is currently training to become a qualified Gas engineer. You may have noticed a pattern to all the staff at Holland Gas, we train our own to be of the highest standard.
